SharePoint 2013 Ignite Training Notes

Last week I attended the “SharePoint Ignite for Developers” training in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. SharePoint Ignite program is designed to give as much as learning material on the brand “new” SharePoint to the developers and IT people as soon as possible. SharePoint 2013 has massive amount of changes both in its architecture and features. All of them are so cool 🙂

I’d like to share some notes on the training. SharePoint Ignite training is totally focused on the SharePoint 2013 development and planned schedule is totally covered. The complexity level of the course is well balanced so there is no one that couldn’t understand the course content. Very good and on pupose questions were asked to the instructors and all of them were perfectly answered.

Another thing that impresses me is the lab environment which was prepared by holSystems. It was very easy and seamless to switch between the virtual machines. They’ve worked without any single problem during the whole week. holSystems also prepared the lab systems used in US TechEd and SPC2012.

The most important reason that makes this training so good is the instructors. Primary instructors were Kirk Evans (Principal Premier Support Engineer, Microsoft), Ali Powell (Delivery Architect, Microsoft) and Keenan Newton (Senior Product Marketing Manager, Microsoft) shared some very cool features. I’d like to thank them not only for sharing their knowledge but also sharing their enthusiasm on SharePoint 2013. You can find the blog links of them. So go on and follow their posts.

I’m going to share some key points of SharePoint 2013 on my next few blog posts.
